October 3 – GRUNDY, Virginia – Remote Area Medical (RAM), a leading non-profit provider of pop-up clinics providing free, quality dental, vision and medical care to underserved and uninsured people, will return to Grundy, in Virginia, Saturday. , October 2 and Sunday October 3, to offer free care.
This will be RAM’s 19th clinic in Buchanan County, clinic officials said in their announcement.
All RAM services are free and no login is required. Free dental, ophthalmic and medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, clinic officials said.
The two-day clinic, in collaboration with members of the local community, will be held at Riverview Elementary / Middle School located at 27382 Riverside Dr. Grundy, Virginia 24614.
âIt is a privilege, an honor and a blessing to serve the people of Grundy,â said Frannie Milton, leader of the community welcome group. “Some have lost everything due to the pandemic and recent flooding in the region, so our goal is to alleviate some of their suffering by providing dental, medical and vision care to those in need.”
Services available at the clinic will include dental cleanings, dental fillings, tooth extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, glaucoma tests, eyeglass prescriptions, on-site glasses, patient health exams. women, mammograms, Pap smears, flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines and general medicals, clinic officials said.
